Subter Supter Fluctus 'Beneath the Waves' All of the people of this realm live above the water with one exception. Long ago this island was the same as any other, yet one day it began to sink. The islanders built their city's walls higher and higher to stop the encroaching sea. Their efforts were in vain, as the island sank ever deeper. Soon the people became accustomed to living in these ever rising flood waters, and began to change to suit their enviroment. When the island finally disappeared beneath the waves, the people went with it. Their world is now beneath the waves, and the entire ocean is theirs to explore and conquer. Crescent Luna Insula 'Crescent Moon Island' This unusually shaped island has its origins surrounded in mystery. The natives aren't aware of their history or past, nor do they seem to care much. Dea Muto 'Goddess Alter' This small island is home to a religious temple. Din, the goddess of wisdom, is supposed to have arrived on earth here. For this reason, the nearby islanders consider the site sacred and send their daughters and sons to worship at the temple. It has grown quite large and will embue weapons and artifacts at a price. Desiree's Island On this island lays the home of the sorceress Desiree. She has a very short temper and transforms any who enrage her into were creatures. They are still partially human, yet have animal characteristics. These changed people have made a small town at the edge of the island and trade with any one who sails by. Eternus Vigilo 'Eternal Watcher' This great lighthouse stands hundreds of feet high. Its massive rotating light guides ships miles away into the port safetly. It is quite old, and is a relic of the Niagrish empire. It is a symbol of the strength of the realm. |
