There are several ways to earn points as a mercenary, so many that I will not attempt to list them all, but try to cover them all.
Assasination (resulting in a battle) = Twice the normal amount of points you would have earned. For example. If you fought and won in three movesm you would normally earn two points. But now you earn 4. If you assasinated someone in one post, you would now earn 8 pts. If you lose, no points will be earned. (Unless you were (pre-paid) Assasination (of an NPC) = Half of the normal battle points, as long as it seems like some effort was put into it. 1 point for a regular fight, 2 pts for a cool battle. Dirty work (regarding NPC's) = 5 points. As long as the act takes longer than five seconds and involves some kind of thought. Mercenaries may demand points before an act is completed or after. Basically it is the merc that sets the rules, and the hiring party that agrees. Points that are payed before-hand, and the act is not completed succesfuly, can be retrieved by fighting the said mercenary. Mercenaries that defeat the hirer are then allowed to keep the points and no longer allowed to be challenged for them. |
