This fight is officially sanctioned.

--------------------
Some say the world will end in fire;
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Jacqueline Sunder stepped carefully onto the ice, swinging her brown hair out of her face and quickly putting it up into a tight pony-tail, as to get out of her way during this fight. She had worn enough clothes to be prepared for the below freezing weather, thick leatherskinned garments covered her body, save her head. Armor wasnt really beneficial to a thief like herself, it just served to be more of a hinderance than protection. She wore a large belt on her hips, leaning to one side. Their had to be twenty seperate pouches that contained treasures of other expedentures, then there were smaller pouches, containing various magical dusts. A scroll case, holding upwards from twenty parchments of paper that dealt more with planal observation and manipulation than anything else. As it was always easier to steal things if you were doing so on another plane of existance. All of this and more surrounded her midsection, and were each lashed on tightly enough by threads of ethereal twine coupled with the arcane rope, that they would have to be a chore to remove.

After one looked past all of her nick-nacks they would soon notice a trio of long curved daggers, each holding the same properties of the real, and ethereal planes. Each dagger was held by leather holsters, that covered all but of course the handle. On the back of her belt, beneath some of the bags was a thin whip, constructed of the most lightweigth metal she could buy.... buy? more like steal. She had stolen it from a metal-working shop somewhere in the southern seas, and it was known to have never broken.... by physical force. Magic and arcane force on the other hand was something that had never been tested on it, but was supposed to be unable to harm it.

Jack would walk slowly into the arena, keeping track of what force it took to walk correctly and keep your balance. As balance was her forte, this environment would only prove hindersome due to the cold, but, as said before, she had bundled up for the ride, and if need be she would be able to search for a spell that might help her out of such a predicament. Searching for a spell might also have been a problem, but she had previously memorized which spells were which and had practiced grabbing them so that she wouldnt encounter any time difficulties.

She padded into the most open part of the arena, and made sure that she wasnt under any looming stagtites, and she had plenty of stalagmites to use at her disposal. She would put a finger into the air to see which way the wind was blowing. It only seemed to fall and rise with heat from her body. No breeze at all. And the only light, was that of arcane markers carved into the icy walls. She would tighten her grip in and out with her hands, stretching the thin but effective leather to its limits and letting it relax back to its orginal position again. This tournament would be an interesting one...

Jack would stand cautious, hands unoccupied, so she could react quickly to any possible attack, she would be meditative in her senses so she would be able to feel any disturbances in the air, or on the ice. Her feet wouldnt be planted, but ready to move, and she would then say,

"I'm ready for you... bastard"

The Melodic sound of a flute can be heard playing from the entrance archway as Azure makes his way into the icey arena, wearing his trademark, Black, Drow made mesh armor, molding to him like a second skin, letting him move in perfect harmony as if he were wearing silk, multiple grey colored Runes inscribed all over the full body armor except there was no helm, he had the guantlets, the boots, the greaves, the chestplate, the shoulder guards, one of them sporting a large metallic spike, He had the whole shabang, Chain mail under neigth the armor for reassurance as he toots that flute in perfect tune, the sounds echoeing gently off the walls of the majestic ice arena. The Arcane runes on the walls give of a elegant, yet nonchalant red glow as if in reaction to the flute...or was it to Azure, who is so well reknowned for useing the arts of Arcane dweomers and things of the like? The runes in his armor give off a distinct black glow, then fade back into camoflaudgeing with the armors color.

He wears that opaque colored, Widebrimmed hat with a black plummed feather, Tipped down over one of those pupilless crimson eyes. Both eyes currently being closed as he walks with perfect balance on the ice, stepping down on the slippery surface with the balls of his feet first with trained footsteps, This was the way drow stepped so silently and moved so gracefully(elves of the like). His raven black hair flowing behind in his wake and that black Piwafwi(Drow cloak) Was thrown back like a cape.

On one of his guantlets, he has strapped on a bracer containing 5 daggers. To his hip are belted three katanas to his left side, a dagger to the other and a boot knife strapped to his thigh armor piece. He was ready to rumble, and seriously, and was ready to set up the battle field as he wanted it. He toots on his flute more, the sound so majestic it was like the melody of the gods, A slight has begins to form around the area, though The woman, and Azure can still see one another perfectly through the mist, body features and all, the mist was still there, precipitation and water molecules(like dew) can barely be felt in the mist.

"Are you ready to fight me Madame, Are you sure you do not wish to withdrawl from this Tournament... I am ready to fight with all that i will and belive me... It is going to be very...very...intertaining. Can you feel it? Can you feel that tingleing feeling everyone gets before a battle, knowing so well it could be their last fight and breath? Ahhh such a wonderful feeling, and throws me into pure ecstacy when i feel this way... the very thought of slideing a dagger over that slender throat of yours..gives me the chills. I must admit..I do not wish to fight a woman...you are a very lovely woman, and would not like to see you hurt. But if you are intent, then let us get started, i have already made my move in this battle...now it is your turn, to dish something out before i do..."

He taps the flute on his shoulder as a silvery substance..or blob..of...something takes form on his shoulder...what was it? Only Azure and those hwo fought him enough know. He waits, grinning all the while, and chanting softly.

"I would spare the madames if I was you"

The mist in the arena would not have proven to be a hinderance, as Azure stated, it would not obscure vision. But paraniod as she was, she didnt like that fact that a fine mist was able to gather in a below zero temperate area. Immediatly, she thumbed through the scroll-case on her back, hiding such movement from Azure. Since she had placed both hands behind her back she would grab hold of the whip as well, preparing to strike with that.

The scroll that Jack pulled was one of planal manipulation. She would recite one word and the spell would begin its few miliseconds of transformation into the ethereal plane. She would arrive in such plane and be able to see only the faint walls of the arena since the two beings were both emiting their presence. She would be able to see Azure, standing there, but only be able to see his essence, not his body, but thats all she would need. She could no longer feel the cold licking touch of the air on what skin she had showing, and the mist would no longer exist in her eyes, since it would be on the real plane... and the elemental. She, in a phrase, would not exist in the real unless she again manipulated the planes and returned to it. Therefore, she was completely invisible, as well as non-existant on the Real plane.

She could no longer hear the soft chanting, and still was able to stand, and notice the blob on his shoulder. She made no attempt to figure out what it was. Seeing that she had never been in a fight with Azure before, she did not know.

During the rapid dissolvation into the ethereal plane Jack would have loosed her whip and made one crack that stretched the fine metal rope at Azures face. The whip would be traveling in a sideways motion and, upon reaching azures face would rip into the horizontal section including his eyes, upper nose, and possibly ears if the whip was able to make a deep enough intrusion. The ethereal transformation would catch up with the end of the speeding whip and envelope the very end of the thing as it finished scattering the bloody particles of Azure's face.

:Grins as she dissappears, his left eye immediately turning a brilliant glowing blue instead of crimson as he takes on Aura vision, the planal vision that would allow him to see the foolish sunder where she was, real plane or not. He saw the whip speeding at him,but...he dont feel like being tired yet. He smirks and nods, as that little blob on his shoulder lets out a shriek and goes into action, being a interdimensional sentient being, whereas he was birthed from magic,he can access all planes and see in all planes, and still remain in the physical pretty much if it wished...the ultimate weapon magic in azures arsonal...perhaps. it spreads instantly like an umbrella as the ethereal formed whip would strike it on the otherworldly place, and stop as if it struck a steel wall. NOw,the problem with always being on the ethereal plane is...it is the most chaotic plane of all...the plane where it is said came all other planes, and spawned so called "Demi gods" The cosmic glue of other planes, as the whip strikes, the beast would squeal as opaque energys swirl forth from it like a tidal wave, but not come anywhere near sunder, until of course, entitys all over the ethereal plane become apparent, raiseing the deitys and denizens left to wander that plane as around sunder,a vortex of transmundane energy and entitys would become apparent, surrounding her form with its deadly syphoning energys of otherworldly proportions. The transmundane would be sucking out the magical essences from all her scrolls instantly as it would also begin to suck out all biomethrical proportions compriseing her being, As this goes on,azure just watchs...and...for fun..he tells the blob to send a shock relative to electriciy in ethereal form through the whip and to sunder..just to fudge with her.
