Mr. Fernandez (R - FL) for himself (And Mr. Shanks (RNC), Mr. Cross (RNC), Mr. Laverone (RNC), Mr. Karamazov (LNC), Mr. Parkerson (RNC), Mr. Garwood (RNC), Mr. Perry (DNC), Mr. Jordan Smith (RNC), Mr. Harper (RNC), Mr. De Santiago (RNC), Mr. Collins (RNC), Mr. MacGvyer (DNC), Mr. McMillian (RNC), and Mr. Schmidt (RNC)) submits: A Bill To Expand the United States Army by Two Divisions Section 1. Title This bill shall be known as the Army Expansion Act of 2004 Section 2. Purpose To expand the combat capacity of the United States Army due to overextension of the United States Army due current War on Terror and other concurrent American commitments. Section 3. Provisions (A.) Two decommissioned United States Army divisions will be reactived as follows (1) The 23rd Infantry (Americal) Division (2) The 4th Armored Division (B.) Both divisions should be at full strength and ready for duty by July 1, 2006 (C.) These two divisions will be fully intigrated into the chain of command. Section 4. Enactment This bill will take effect immediately upon recieving the signature of the President. The United States Army will being making preparations immediately. |
