ARTICLE XI: MISCELLANEOUS
A. Sessions The length of House sessions is defined in Article IV, Section 3(a) of AGS Rules. The House is always considered in session during each session and does not adjourn. However, any day which is a recognized Federal holiday shall not be included as part of the length of time allotted for a debate or vote. For example, if a debate is scheduled for five days, and Labor Day is one of the next five days, debate shall last for five days plus Labor Day. Business may not be begun in one session and continued in another. B. Quorum The House shall always be presumed to be present, and a point of no quorum shall not be recognized. C. AGS Rules and AGS Rules of Order The AGS Rules shall serve as the bylaws of the AGS House, and shall supercede these Rules of Order when they are in conflict. D. Amendments Amendments to the AGS Rules of Order shall be passed by a 3/4ths majority of the AB, or by a 2/3rds majority of the House and a 3/4ths majority of the AB. |
