Amara Mateo (D-PN) To form a bipartisan commission to investigate the incidents surrounding Operation Crimson Dawn. Section 1: Short Title - -This resolution may be titled "The Crimson Dawn Commission Resolution." Section 2: Findings - -Operation Crimson Dawn resulted in over 1000 civilian deaths, some of which may have been unintended by the United States military. -Unguided missiles and heavy artillery were both used in Operation Crimson Dawn. -There are still questions about Operation Crimson Dawn. Section 3: Resolution to Form a Commission -Congress requests that the President form a commission consisting of 10 members of the House of Representatives, formed from the Republican, Democratic, and Liberty Party, and members of the Independant and Unaffiliated Caucus. Also, there will be a chairman for this commission who will be chosen by the House Minority. -This commission will probe and research the incidents surrounding Operation Crimson Dawn to provide a picture of the incident in question. -Congress also requests that the commission be given investigative powers regarding Operation Crimson Dawn, and will be provided with all documents regarding the Operation. -The commission will provide a complete report of Operation Crimson Dawn, which shall be available to the public. |
